Beach Photoshoot – June 2015

I don’t even know where to start with this one……I came up with the brilliant idea to do photos and video while we were at the beach last weekend and it was NOT easy! We walked forever down the beach (with all our stuff) to get to the secluded spot by the sand dunes. I photographed Andy first, we shot video, he photographed me, shot video, then our daughter took photos of us together. We started around 7 and were done by 8 with minutes to spare to see the sunset. The photos are outstanding even though I took them in my costume stepping on sand burrs, it was hot, sun blaring, sunburn, wind, ect.

Spring Photo session at Duke Gardens

What a way to start the weekend. I had to get up early (6 am) to get ready in time for an 8 am shoot at Duke Gardens in Durham. So many beautiful spots, we had a great time.

We just got home from a fun fabulous week at the Outer Banks. We stayed on Hatteras Island and the weather was perfect! It did rain the last day and a half, but the week of gorgeous weather made up for it. I decided this year I wanted to do a Mermaid inspired photo shoot, because I absolutely love mermaids. I made a Seashell bra and just draped some fishing net around a teal skirt. We took these just around sunset and drew quite a crowd. So much for keeping to ourselves. The water was pretty cold at this time and it was so strong. I have decided this beach shoot was just as hard as the ones on the snow. It was so windy that day and it was hard to keep my hair in the right spot. Overall, I am really happy with the way they came out.

{40th Birthday Party}

I just received the most wonderful photos from the last gig I did at the prestigious, Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary. It was celebrating a 40th birthday for Dewayne Washington. When I arrived that night, I even had a valet park my car and felt like true royalty. LOL. The Hotel is gorgeous and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The event planner was Jennifer from Jennifer V Event Design and Planning. She was the best! The party was fabulous and I think all the ladies enjoyed getting up to dance. Here are some wonderful photos from the professional photographer. He is absolutely amazing! (And being a professional photographer myself, that says alot!)
