Workshops and Lessons

Bellydance Workshops

Bellydance is a great form of exercise. It provides a good cardio-vascular workout and helps increase both flexibility and strength, by focusing on isolating the muscles. Bellydance is suitable for all ages and body types. It helps relieve stress, and provides you with an improved sense of well-being, better body image and self-esteem.

Intro to Bellydance

Learn to Bellydance! Come join us for our new 2 hour workshops. Have fun dancing in a supportive and social atmosphere. Learn basic bellydancing techniques, including head, shoulder, rib and hip isolations, beautiful arm movements, shimmies and combinations all inspired by the Middle Eastern Dance. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a hip scarf or something to wear around your hips. This Class is for Beginners with little to no experience. This class will be taught at a slower pace so everyone can learn the movements.

Bellydance Technique

This class is for students with previous experience or who already have an understanding of the basic moves. This class will be faster paced with alot of improvisational dancing. The focus will be isolations, drills and technique, and combinations to put together for routines. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a hip scarf.

Bellydance - Discovering your own style

This class is for advanced beginner to intermediate level students. Students are asked to bring a song to class, something they want to learn to dance to. Students will learn how to listen to the music and how to choose movements that work for their song. Students can chose to choreograph movements or improv. At the end of the workshop, students can show off their new "choreography", or choose to improv dance to their song. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a hip scarf. This class is geared toward students to want to learn how to connect with the music and put more feeling and energy into their dance.
