Buckhead Saloon- Meetup.com Luau - July 26, 2008Amara performed along with the Moorish Gypsy Tribe, Shahzaadee, and Betty the Queen of Poi. This was an event to promote Meetup.com and the proceeds went to Duke Children's Hospital.

Triangle Race for the Cure - June 14, 2008 Amara organized team "Carolina Bellydancers" who participated in the Komen NC Race for the Cure. We had a total of 31 team members and raised over $3000.
We plan to do this again in 2009.
