Belly Dancing Level 1

Have fun dancing in a supportive social atmosphere. Learn basic belly dancing techniques, including head, shoulder, rib and hip isolations, beautiful arm movements, and shimmies – all inspired by the Middle Eastern dance. This class is for beginners with little-to-no experience; it is taught at a pace that allows everyone to learn the movements.

Feel free to take notes in class. I do allow you to video at the end of class if you want me to demonstrate a movement.

Belly Dancing Level 2 – Intro to Veil

This class is designed for those who have completed Belly Dancing Level 1 or have previous experience or familiarity with basic belly dancing moves. The class will be taught at a faster pace and will focus on isolations, drills, technique, combinations, and choreography, as well as some props. Please wear comfortable clothing (yoga or dance pants, tshirt or tank top. If you have it, bring a hip/coin scarf or something to wear around your hips. Some will be provided. Bring a water bottle. We will be dancing barefoot, but you may wear socks. Sneakers or other rubber soled shoes will not be good for dancing.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please wear comfortable clothing (yoga or dance pants, tshirt or tank top. If you have it, bring a hip/coin scarf or something to wear around your hips. Some will be provided. Bring a water bottle. We will be dancing barefoot, but you may wear socks. Sneakers or other rubber soled shoes will not be good for dancing. There are no mirrors in that dance room, but feel free to bring your own mirror which can be propped up for you to see yourself.
