I went to PHP (People Helping People) of NC today. They are located in Durham and serve special needs individuals by offering day programs in a learning environment and work opportunities. I did a short performance and then got some up dancing with me! They had a blast and were such sweet people!! They gave me some beautiful roses and all signed a card as a Thank You!!
So I went Fri, Sat, and Sun to the production of Arabian Nights at NC State. It was sold out each show and it was wonderful! The decor and lighting is a dancers dream. ( I so wanted to get up and dance and was lusting thinking of the wonderful photos and video clip I could get on that set…ahhhh). The cast was GREAT and the musicians outstanding. Will be back next Fri and Sat to see my ‘peeps’ again!!!Here are some photos:
I am totally in LOVE with Pinterest! I almost feel like I never should have seen what all the excitement was about, because I can predict that I will be on that site about as much as Facebook!
I decided to cover up the see through panel on the belt, b/c I didn’t like it. I am filling in the gaps with silky fabric, AB crystals, and rhinestone chain. Here is the progress:
I have been working nonstop for the past 2 days on my promotional kit. I made each ‘page’ separately that I put into a slideshow presentation along with a montage of video clips. Check it out!!
I got a last minute performance for this weekend for a ’89th’ birthday!! He was a great sport and even got up to dance with me during his birthday song.
Another fabulous night at Fullsteam for Undulation Nouveau!! It was packed and the crowd was great! I danced live to the Lost Nomads, to one of my favorites called : “Nomads Reel” composed by Glenn Murphy. I even got to dance with my new Turquoise Wings!! xxx
So last night was my last ‘official’ class with the cast of Arabian Nights. I will really miss them . We started with a brief warm up with everyone, even the guys! Matt was my back up dance teacher. LOL!! They really seem to enjoy the bellydance lessons!! Then we broke up into groups and I worked on the girls dances along with Naji and Daniel playing live music. This was the first time we practiced with live, so we had to work out the dances again. But it came together and the girls did a GREAT job! I am very proud of them and everyones hard work. I got to watch the whole first set of the show last night, and it is going to be fun. They really are a great group of hardworking actors/actresses and I feel so honored to be a part of the team!! A big Thanks to Allison Bergman, the Assistant Director of University Theatre. She is such a nice person and does a great job!! Check out the show: Arabian Nights
For Spring and Summer, I plan to do primarily private or group lessons. Please contact me for availability and schedule your class today! I have a spacious private studio with large mirrors and will customize your lesson to your needs.
