This was my 2nd year performing at the Annual Fundraiser. We always have such fun at the Country Squire Inn. I danced a Sword Dance to Afrit Temples newest song ‘Axion’ and also live improv with all the wonderful musicians.

All the new dates for 2014 have been confirmed!! We are excited to be back at Fullsteam Brewery for another wonderful year. This event has really grown and we really appreciate everyone that comes out!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Traded my Red/Black Bella for a Purple Egyptian Costume! Not like I really needed another purple costume, but this one is different than the others. Really chunky beading and I will probably add some more swarovski crystals and rhinestones and might redo the bra a bit. It arrived a day earlier than expected and since I had already been to the hair salon yesterday, I decided to do some pics.

I have a beautiful Green Sim Moda Evi, that I bought of Bhuz many years ago. It came with a black chiffon skirt sewn directly into the belt. I hardly ever wear it because I am not fond of the color combo. So, I ripped out the black chiffon and bought some pretty fabrics on sale at Joann’s for $30!! What a deal! I am going to make circle/ panel skirts. The base will be the satin/taffeta with the lace overlay. It changes the whole look of the costume. I am so excited!!
Here is the original costume:

Join us for the celebration!

I am shocked at how fast this year has gone and that this month will be the last ‘Undulation Nouveau’ for 2013. We should be back next year and when I have the dates confirmed, I will post it. Please come out and support our wonderful musicians, the Lost Nomads, and all the wonderful bellydancers from students to pro. This is a wonderful event and there will be plenty of open dancing in case you want to get your shimmy going!

Handing out with Cu Dubh. They are AWESOME!!!

Families can celebrate the Nasher Museum’s current exhibitions with hands-on art activities and a gallery hunt through the museum. Middle-Eastern music band The Lost Nomads will perform at 1 PM and 2:30 pm and I will be doing a bellydance demo. Activities are designed for kids ages 3-12 and their accompanying adults. All ages are welcome. Admission is free for this special family program.
