So another Haflaween has come and gone, but it sure was fun! This is always one of my favorite haflas and time of year. I absolutely LOVE Autumn and Halloween!! Mara and I did our Tango and it was a hit. The biggest challenge was not laughing or smiling to hide my vampire teeth. Big teeth or little teeth, so many decisions!

I had a wonderful time this weekend at the Fall Festival at Neomondes North Raleigh Cafef! The Arabic Ensemble played wonderful live music for over 3 hours and we danced the night away!
Don’t miss Neomonde’s Fall Festival this Saturday, Oct. 6! We have events planned for the whole day. Bring the kids between 11am – 2pm for face painting and fairy hair weaving while adults enjoy the beekeeping demonstrations, honey sampling, and instrumental music. Reserve today for the cooking class from 2pm to 4pm. $45 includes a class instruction, as well as a 4-course meal with wine.
From 6:30 to 9pm, we’ll have Middle Eastern live music and dancing! Andrew’s new Arabic Music Ensemble will be playing. Check it out!

I had a fun weekend at the 27th International Festival of Raleigh. I was asked to do a last minute demo on Saturday. The Festival was packed and I had a really good turnout. We were back on Sunday to hang out with the Lost Nomads!
That is exactly what I felt like doing this photo shoot! The weather was perfect all week and we did these pics just before, during, and after sunset. All within about a 45 min time frame.
So I have had the hardest time refraining from posting these photos over the last couple weeks, but since I just did my pro photos at the beach, I can reveal them now!!
Our beach trip to the Outer Banks is coming up in less than 2 weeks and I almost have my seashell costume complete. I had a couple of ‘mishaps’ when I tried it on and lost 2 strands of pearls which I decided to use stronger thread, and I had to fix one cracked seashell. I have sewed on the lining and added the hooks now. I am waiting for another order of pearls (500 to be exact) so I can add a draping. Hopefully I will have time to do this before we leave. I also have to add some ‘embellishments’ and then I will be done. I have taken alot of photos but don’t want to do a big reveal until I do my portraits on the beach. Here is a sneak peak though:
