I am so excited to travel to Fayetteville this weekend for a wonderful show with Ahava. It will be fantastic!!!! I will be performing with Isis Wings again, my favorite prop!!
I have a very extensive DVD collection most of which are collecting dust because I am so busy, but I do have a couple that I have started to watch and I know they are going to be my favorites eventually when I can finish them. LOL! One of which is Meaning in Movement Dancing with Musicality, Texture, and Nuance with Alimah. She talks about different concepts, arm poses/patterns/gestures, creative visual exercises, combinations, and a choreography.

Mara of Moorish Gyspy and I came together to perform a duet for the first time combining our love of dance and blending our very different styles into a fun dance to the live music by the Lost Nomads.

Here is my performance from the Down East Bellydance and Drum Fest we went to a couple weeks ago in New Bern. We had a great time! I was so honored to perform along with some wonderful musicians: Taqasim Tribe, Jeremiah Soto, and Andrew Shakinovsky
Starting this month, I will be teaching the popular Cabaret Level I Bellydance Class at World in Motion in Morrisville.
Cabaret Level 1
Have fun dancing in a supportive and social atmosphere. Learn basic bellydancing techniques, with an emphasis on American Cabaret style, including head, shoulder, rib cage and hip isolations, beautiful arm movements, shimmies, and combinations, all inspired by Middle Eastern dance. Please wear comfortable clothing. Hip scarves will be provided.
Classes start August 25, based on pre-registration of a minimum of 5 students. Drop ins welcome at $18 per class.

Here is our group dance from the Eno. I was invited to dance once again with the Moorish Gypsy Tribe for the Festival on the Eno performance.
This weekend is the First Annual Down East Bellydance and Drum fest featuring Jeremiah Soto of Solace, Aela Badiana, and Nandana. There will be wonderful workshops featuring: Tribal, Shimmies, and Drumming, and then a Gala show in the evening with live music by Jeremiah, Taqsim Tribe and Andrew Shakinovsky.
