Another Winter storm blew in last night and I just couldn’t help but sit and watch the snow falling. I absolutely love snow. I had planned to do a ‘Snow Goddess’ photo shoot, but was disappointed with the little we had, so I decided to finish this song instead. I love the calm and peaceful tone.
So it snowed again today and have been stuck in the house all day. I have been working on songs all and made 2 news ones.
I have recently started making some songs in Reaper. I found alot of great sound loops and patches on Looperman and Freesound and am having a blast. I was super excited to post it on Soundcloud. I have since done some more edits and will be adding some more drums but wanted to share my first song ever! So proud of myself. I am currently working on about 4 more with the intent of performing Isis Wings or Fanveils to at least one. Hope you will follow me on Soundcloud!!

Had a wonderful time last night dancing at the Winter Hafla. I danced to the song ‘Vanguard’ of my husbands latest CD: SUNCARAVAN. I also got to wear my new costume that I made. Glad it is finally ready to be danced in. Big Thanks to Karl Ulrich and Josh Edwards for the photos.

Happy to announce my husbands newest CD is now available for digital downloads. CD’s should be here in the next week. I am really loving this album. I gave alot of input on some of these songs and am really excited about it! Over the past year, I have already performed to Axonic and Victory, and will be doing a sword dance to ‘Vanguard’ at an upcoming show. Check it out!
I started this costume a year or two ago and it is finally done!! yeah for me!! The base is covered with a pretty neutral tapestry type fabric. I then covered it with a beige lacy shirt I never wear and some lace trim. Added kuchi coins, button, crystals, rhinestone chain, pearl chain. Here are some previews, photoshoot coming soon.
For those that don’t know, Undulation Nouveau, is a bi-monthly event that takes place at Fullsteam Brewery in Durham. Live Middle Eastern Music by the Lost Nomads and bellydancing by many local dancers, from students to pros. Lots of open dancing for anyone that wants to get their shimmies out. 8-10 pm. This is a very popular event and to guarantee a good seat, you might want to come early. Lots of great beer and wine and local food trucks.
