{Shimmies in the Sunshine}

Just got back from Norfolk, VA, collaborating on a project with some amazing people. I cannot announce the details yet, but I just wanted to share some photos we took. It was so hot and Norfolk set a new record high that day.

{Commercial Filming}

So I was invited along with another bellydancer, Laylianah, to be in a promo commercial for the upcoming International Festival of Raleigh in September. It was alot of fun. We all met at Babylon in Downtown Raleigh. There was also a Flamenco dancer and some wonderful musicians playing Spanish Guitar. There were others there representing their countries and culture. Afterwards we took a couple photos outside. This will be my 4th year performing at the International Festival and it is always so much fun. I will be at the Dance Demo stage on Saturday from 1-2 pm and Sunday from 12:30-1 giving Bellydance demos. I will also be do a shimmy contest again this year and the winner gets a coinscarf!!! Lost Nomads will be performing some live Middle Eastern Music from 3-4 pm on Saturday so stick around for that too!!

{ATS Attacks}

Here are a couple quick pics from ATS attacks last night. Lots of open dancing. I did attempt ATS briefly :) but found it much easier to dance my own improv!! The musicians were awesome and I would not stop shimmying until the bad stopped.

{Zeffa}

This as my second year doing the Zeffa entrance at Down East and it is so much fun. I felt so honored to have been invited to do this!!  My partner in crime is a wonderful dancer, Aela Badiana. My Shamadon is about 5 lbs and definitely the hardest object to balance on my head.
